Meet Fernando
Monarrez

A Proven Leader of Arizona

Husband •
Father • Veteran  Businessman

Fernando Monarrez is a first-generation American, veteran, and business leader who believes in creating opportunity through service, hard work, and personal responsibility.

His story starts with family. Fernando’s parents immigrated from Mexico in pursuit of the American dream, and he grew up with a deep respect for faith, family, and the values that make this country exceptional. That foundation shaped his lifelong commitment to step up, serve, and build.

At 18, Fernando enlisted in the United States Marine Corps to give back to the nation that gave his family opportunity. During his first deployment, he was injured by small arms fire. He recovered fully, returned to duty, and completed his combat tour alongside his brothers in arms. After the Marines, he continued serving by transitioning into the U.S. Army, where he spent nine more years in uniform.

Toward the end of his military career, Fernando served as a liaison to multiple Chambers of Commerce, where he built strong relationships with business owners and leaders across the private sector. That experience helped shape his focus on strengthening local economies, supporting small businesses, and removing barriers that keep people from moving forward.

Today, Fernando serves as a Principal for FX Construction and advocates for veteran-owned businesses and entrepreneurs. As a Warrior Rising Ambassador for the City of Phoenix, he helps connect veteran founders to resources, relationships, and opportunities. Fernando’s mission is simple: fight for the people who work, build, and sacrifice for Arizona.
